The TRITON Series combines a stable thermal ionization source, a movable multicollector array and detection for both intense and ultra-low signals in geochronology, cosmochemistry, tracer studies and nuclear safeguards.

Technical positioning

TRITON measures elemental isotope ratios after thermal ionization. It complements gas IRMS, MC-ICP-MS and AMS; the appropriate technique depends on the element, sample amount and required precision.

Platform capabilities

Up to nine Faraday cups aligned with ion beams
10¹³ Ω amplifiers and virtual amplifier for small signals
RPQ, SEM and CDD for high abundance sensitivity
Applications involving U, Sr, Nd, Pb, W, actinides and other isotope systems
