FlashSmart determines CHNS/O mainly in organic samples — food, biomass, fuels and polymers — and also in some inorganic matrices such as soils, fertilizers, materials and ores, when the method is compatible. EMIA and EMGA are platforms dedicated to the universe of steels, irons, alloys, metals and inorganic materials: EMIA for C/S and EMGA for O/N/H.

Which instrument should be used to analyze C, H, N, S and O?

It depends first on the matrix and after the elements. FlashSmart serves CHNS/O mainly in organics and also in soils, fertilizers, materials and some compatible ores. EMIA is dedicated to C/S in steels, alloys, ores and inorganic materials. EMGA is dedicated to O/N/H in metals, steels, alloys and metallic powders.

Are FlashSmart, EMIA and EMGA competing technologies?

No. They occupy complementary functions inside the lab. In a multi-technique structure, each platform meets specific combinations of elements, samples and analytical principles.

Does the same equipment measure all elements in any matrix?
